This is an informal and relaxed painting group for both beginners and the more experienced artist. We aim to paint a different object each month or try a new painting technique; members are also welcome to bring their own choice of subject. There is no formal tuition, we learn from each other using different mediums including acrylics, watercolours and pastels; sometimes you might just want to try out a pencil sketch. So, whether you haven’t painted in years or never, come and have a go, everyone is welcome. We have a theme for each of our monthly meetings, sometimes reflecting on the time of the year including the seasons and UK festivals.

October 25:
Taking inspiration from a bountiful season, members painted autumn leaves and fruits.
September 2025:
Members chose their own topic this month including pet portrait painting using a new technique with pan pastels.

July 2025: Portrait painting using different mediums

June 2025: Members were invited to paint a subject of their choosing or this month's theme, "your favourite holiday destination".

AGM April 2025: Group members were invited to bring along a painting or two to showcase their work.

April 2025: Our brief was to paint a named Easter egg box (and then eat the contents!)

March 2025: Bridges - thinking about building materials, perspective and surrounding landscape

Feb 2025: Emerging Spring - reflecting nature in the springtime
