Our friendly, fun‑loving Allotment Group at Rectory Allotments is on the lookout for new volunteers — and if you enjoy fresh air, good company and the satisfaction of growing your own produce, you might be just who we’re hoping to meet.
We care for a well‑established 10‑rod plot (250 sq metres) bursting with fruit, flowers and vegetables. It’s a peaceful, attractive corner of Gosport where you can switch off, dig in and enjoy the simple pleasure of watching things grow.
The group meets on Thursdays, but we’re wonderfully flexible. We’re hoping to add a second meet‑up day during the week — and maybe Sundays too. In the summer we run a watering rota, so there’s always a chance to pop in, lend a hand and enjoy the sunshine. If you’re interested in gardening, growing and eating fresh fruit and vegetables, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
No experience is needed. Truly. Everything is shared — ideas, tasks and of course the produce. We’re known for being supportive, sociable and just a little bit mischievous in the best possible way. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or someone who’s never held a trowel before, you’ll fit right in.
